The 10th anniversary of Stjernberg Automation occurs this year, and it has been 10 eventful years. From home office with two employees to Chinese investors and offices in both Sweden as well as Shanghai. Here is the story of Stjernberg Automation in short.
2008: The company was founded by Magnus Stjernebrg. Development of automation and telecom products.
2009: Home office with two employees. Development of production equipment for companies in the optics sector.
2010: First office in Sätila. Starting point for development and sales of custom-made laser machines.
2011: Office in Kungsbacka, and a duplication of employees to four. New joint owner.
2012: The existing premises are expanded due to an increasing need for bigger office and assembling space. The laser lab, where we perform application tests, process development and validation, production and education, are inaugurated.
2014: An increase in inquiries for larger production solutions. This, together with several new employees the last couple of years, demands another move to larger premises. We move to premises with more offices and larger production area with possibilities for a workshop.
2015: Initiating cooperation with schools, and Stjernberg Automation becomes a part of Teknikcollege. A change in ownership structure occurs when Sidereal and Marcus Pettersson sells Stjernberg Automation to Stjernberggruppen.
2016: Another move to larger premises with more offices and a seperate assembling hall, with large area and high ceilings, due to an increase in inquiries for larger production lines.
2017: TUS Holdings becomes a new partner. Together, TUS Holdings and Stjernberg Automation establishes TUS Stjernberg in Yuyao. 3 new staff are employed for the work in China.
2018: Stjernberg Automation opens a new office in Shanghai. The company buys robot developer Global Operating Drones Sweden AB. As things stands, Stjernberg Automation has 14 employees, 5 full-time consultants and several consultants employed by the hour. The company delivers smart factories and digital production solutions to all manufacturing industries.
